The Company:
We are working with a well-established, family-owned building contractor. They specialise in Residential, Education & Commercial schemes from £500k - £15m. Primarily their client base is a mixture of public sector clients and registered providers across the North West.

The vast majority of their work is with existing clients, the supply chain is paid on term and they prioritise stable, profitable business opposed to a growing turnover.
The Role:
They are now in a position to add to their Estimating team; they ve asked us to source an experienced Estimator/Senior who can support their pre-con lead whilst also aiding in the development of their junior team members.
You ll play a pivotal role in their success, producing high quality, accurate estimates without being under immense pressure to win work at any cost!
General responsibilities will include the following;
- Working within the estimating department to produce high quality, accurate estimates.
- Pricing from first principles and sub-contractor quotation comparisons, presented in a legible, analytical and logical format for both new build and refurbishment projects.
- Responsible for packaging up the tender documents, liaising with subcontractors to acquire quotations, preparation of accurate take offs and producing a full breakdown of pricing.
- Utilise estimating software as part of the estimating process - Conquest Estimating Software. (Training can be provided)
- Attending and Chairing Tender Adjudications and Tender Handover meetings with the Pre-Construction Director to the Commercial/Site Team.
- Production of site files for successful tenders and issuing to the Site Team.
- Aiding in the training and progression of the Junior Estimator
- You are required to work as part of a team to complete work-related tasks to ensure the smooth running of the projects and the business as a whole.
- You are required to attend training courses as appropriate.
You:
- You ll need to be an experienced Estimator with relevant industry experience
