Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum (subject to experience)

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a leading and well-established concrete, groundworks and civil engineering contractor operating across Hertfordshire, Essex and the surrounding regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role would suit a commercially aware and driven Contracts Manager with a strong background in civils and groundworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple civils and groundworks projects simultaneously.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
• Lead and support site teams, including Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers.
• Ensure all projects comply with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress and resolve any operational issues that may impact delivery.
• Review project performance, costs and resource requirements.
• Contribute to programme planning and project strategy.
• Attend client and site meetings as required.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations and company objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the civils and groundworks sector.
• Strong understanding of concrete structures, groundworks and infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple live projects and site teams.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
• Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Full UK driving licence.

Salary

£80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
