Construction Consultancy Claims & Dispute Resolution

We are working with a specialist construction consultancy that specialises in Construction Claims & Dispute Resolution and they are looking to appoint a Consultant to join their growing team in Central London.

This is a junior-level opportunity that would suit someone who has recently qualified, has completed an MSc in Construction Law, or has developed a strong interest in pursuing a career within construction claims, contract management and dispute resolution.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced consultants and gain exposure to a broad range of construction and engineering projects across the UK, developing specialist experience across claims, contracts and disputes.

The Role
As a Consultant, you will support senior members of the team across a range of commissions, with responsibilities potentially including:

• Assisting with the preparation and assessment of construction claims.
• Supporting the analysis of contractual and project documentation.
• Reviewing contracts, correspondence, programmes, payment records and other project information.
• Assisting with delay, disruption and quantum-related matters.
• Supporting the preparation of reports, submissions and other technical documentation.
• Assisting with dispute resolution and adjudication matters.
• Undertaking research into contractual and legal issues.
• Working with experienced consultants to develop solutions to complex contractual and commercial problems.
• Liaising with clients and project stakeholders as your experience develops.

About You
This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to specialise in construction claims and dispute resolution.

You may be:

• A recently qualified Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or Contract Administrator looking to move into consultancy.
• A graduate with an MSc in Construction Law, Arbitration or a related discipline.
• Someone with construction/commercial experience who has developed a strong interest in claims and disputes.
• A candidate who is considering a long-term career in claims consultancy, dispute resolution or expert services.

You will need strong analytical and written communication skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to understand and interpret contractual information.

Most importantly, the business is looking for someone who is genuinely interested in developing a career in this specialist area and is keen to learn from an experienced and driven team.
