Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Architectural practice based in Cambridge, are currently seeking a talented Architect to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Architect to work as part of an experienced and collaborative team, gaining exposure to a genuinely varied portfolio of projects. Due to a strong and ongoing project pipeline, they are looking to strengthen their team with an Architect who can contribute across a range of sectors and RIBA stages, whilst developing their technical and project-running experience.

The practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality architectural solutions across a diverse range of sectors. Their portfolio includes Healthcare, Education, Student Accommodation, Residential, Conservation, Refurbishment and Commercial projects, with a particularly strong pipeline of work for Cambridge colleges, the University of Cambridge and other established clients. This provides an excellent opportunity for an Architect looking for variety, responsibility and the chance to work on interesting projects within the Cambridge market.

Architect Job Overview

• Work across a varied portfolio of projects including Healthcare, Education, Student Accommodation, Residential, Conservation and Refurbishment
• Contribute to projects across a range of RIBA Stages, from initial design and planning through to technical delivery and completion
• Develop architectural designs and technical information in collaboration with the wider project team
• Produce detailed architectural drawings and coordinated construction information
• Assist with and contribute to the delivery of technically challenging projects involving existing buildings
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Attend project meetings and site visits, gaining continued exposure to the construction process
• Take increasing responsibility for individual projects as experience and confidence develops
• Work towards taking ownership of projects and becoming a key point of contact for clients and project teams
• Coordinate information from consultants and other members of the design team
• Work closely with the Partners and wider architectural team to deliver high-quality projects
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice

Architect Job Requirements

• Qualified Architect
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD with experience using the software within an architectural practice
• Revit experience would be advantageous, although not essential
• Good technical knowledge with experience producing detailed architectural and construction information
• Experience working across a range of RIBA Stages
• Understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction processes
• Experience liaising with clients, consultants and contractors would be advantageous
• Previous experience working with existing buildings, refurbishment, conservation or retrofit projects would be beneficial
• Experience within sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial or Conservation would be advantageous
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a wider project team
• Enthusiastic and motivated to develop their project-running and technical experience
• Keen to take on increasing responsibility and develop a long-term career within an established architectural practice
