Senior Architect - Greater Manchester

We are working with an established architectural practice based in Greater Manchester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architect to join their growing team.

We are looking for an Architect who combines strong design ability, technical expertise and project leadership.

You will be confident managing clients, leading project teams and coordinating consultants, while having the technical knowledge to take responsibility for delivering high-quality residential projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Architect with significant residential experience to take a senior role delivering a varied portfolio of projects across volume housebuilding, private residential, affordable housing and regeneration.

You will work across both public and private sector projects, taking responsibility for project delivery while developing strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

As Senior Architect, you will:

• Lead residential and regeneration projects from concept through to construction.

• Take responsibility for project delivery, programme and design quality.

• Act as a key point of contact for clients and lead client meetings.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.

• Develop and review design and technical information.

• Lead projects through planning, detailed design and construction stages.

• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members.

• Work closely with contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues.

• Ensure projects comply with planning, Building Regulations and relevant legislation.

• Contribute to BIM and digital design processes within the practice.

The successful candidate will have:

• ARB registration and significant post-qualification experience.

• Strong experience delivering residential projects, ideally including volume housebuilding or large-scale housing.

• Experience of regeneration, affordable housing or mixed-tenure developments.

• Strong Revit skills and experience delivering projects within a BIM environment.

• Excellent knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing and technical design.

• Good understanding of Building Regulations, planning and statutory requirements.

• Experience coordinating architectural information with structural and M&E consultants.

• Ability to produce and review detailed technical drawing packages.

• Experience working through planning, technical design and construction stages.

• Strong understanding of buildability, specification and construction information.

• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, CDM and Principal Designer responsibilities would be advantageous.
