Job purpose and scope: Reporting to the Director of Design, you will contribute to the projects daily Design Management. When required, you will liaise with the Site Manager / Pre-construction team for the development of design packages and procurement strategies. Accountabilities and key tasks: Understand client requirements/output specs Assist in the review of and if required, undertake a review of the Design, procurement and construction information to ensure it complies with Project documentation Assist in the review of and if required undertake a review of design output and verifies its compliance with Client s output specifications. Prepare monthly report on Activity to DM Contribute to the Design Management Plan (DMP) Contribute to and if required prepare the Project s Document Essential criteria: Architectural or Design qualifications Experience in construction project design via Architecture route or Main Contractor route. Assistant M&E Services Manager - Oxfordshire - Up to 50K We are actively seeking an M&E Manager to work alongside the Project Manager to supervise M&E sub-contractors, across new build construction packages within Education, Commercial and Laboratory settings. The successful candidate will be either mechanically or electrically biased and will be supervising the specialist M&E sub-contractors. You will also progress M&E design queries whilst supporting the Project Manager in the delivery of the schemes. Duties will include: Assist in the co-ordination of M&E Design, liaising with external consultants. Supervise specialist M&E sub-contractors by effective communication and proactive involvement in the day to day running of the site. Implementing the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance and communication from the outset Attending programme meetings to ensure best build programme is being maintained. Working alongside the Services Project Manager, the successful candidate will use their knowledge of building control to ensure that all systems meet the requirement for handover. Regular liaison with the Clients Consultants throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the Project Liaison with the Clients Consultants and ensure all systems are demonstrated accordingly. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with 2+ years of UK industry experience who is looking to develop their technical expertise, take greater ownership of estimating activities, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with the wider commercial, operational and project teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analysing project requirements, obtaining supplier quotations and supporting the preparation of tender submissions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, commercially aware and confident working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects and tender submissions. Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentation to identify project requirements. Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis. Obtain, review and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to clarify technical and commercial requirements. Skills and Experience Previous experience working on pre-construction activities, within a relevant construction, engineering, contracting or technical industry. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and profitability. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant estimating software. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
