Fencing Labourer - Wanted - Immediate Start!

Temporary Full-Time

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Fencing Labourer to join a professional and growing fencing contractor. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring a motivated individual who can work outdoors in all weather conditions and as part of a wider team. You will be responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of domestic, commercial, and security fencing while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Previous labouring experience within construction, fencing, landscaping, or a similar environment
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • CSCS Card

Desirable:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous fencing installation experience
  • Machinery or plant operation experience

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the installation of domestic, commercial, agricultural, and security fencing.
  • Digging post holes and preparing groundworks for fence installation.
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting fencing materials and equipment.
  • Mixing concrete and securing fence posts in line with company standards.
  • Working safely, taking all necessary precautions to prevent danger and avoid injury.
  • Liaising with Site Supervisors regarding daily works and project requirements.
  • Maintaining clean and organised work areas at all times.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, contractors, and customers.
  • Maintaining excellent timekeeping as detailed in work schedules issued in advance.
  • Proactively identifying and reporting any site hazards, material shortages, or project issues.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance by complying fully with company standards.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to travel to various sites when required.
  • Supporting experienced installers and learning new skills to aid career development.
  • Being willing to work additional hours when required to meet project deadlines.
  • Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.

Requirements

As a Fencing Labourer, you will also be expected to:

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Follow all instructions from Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
  • Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and kept in good condition.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or defects in accordance with company procedures.

  • Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice.
  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
  • Co-operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met.
