Site Manager Grade II Listed Building Refurbishment
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract: Freelance / Self-Employed
Duration: Approximately 12 months
Rate: £250 £280 per day

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of a £3m £4m refurbishment and conversion project in Stoke-on-Trent.
The project involves the full fit-out and conversion of a Grade II Listed building to create residential apartments, alongside significant external works including facade refurbishment and roof works.
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment, fit-out or heritage projects, who is confident managing subcontractors, programme and day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Take day-to-day responsibility for the site and construction activities.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives.
Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate internal fit-out and apartment conversion works.
Oversee facade, roofing and associated external works.
Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
Monitor progress against the programme and address any issues promptly.
Maintain high standards of health & safety and site housekeeping.
Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders as required.
Maintain site records, inductions, inspections and relevant documentation.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment, fit-out or conversion projects.
Experience working on listed buildings, heritage properties or complex refurbishment projects would be highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of construction processes
