Project Manager Industrial Unit Fit-Out Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire Day Rate: £350 £400 per day Contract: Freelance / Contract Duration: Immediate start until May 2027 Project Value: £10 million Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a major industrial unit fit-out project in Bedford, with a project value of approximately £10 million. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially aware Project Manager with a strong background in industrial, commercial or large-scale construction fit-out projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. This is an immediate requirement, with the contract running through to May 2027. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the industrial unit fit-out. Manage subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and key stakeholders. Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes, ensuring critical milestones are achieved. Oversee health and safety, quality control and site compliance. Manage project budgets, costs, variations and commercial reporting. Coordinate all fit-out activities, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and to specification. Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to the client and senior management. Identify and resolve project risks, delays and operational issues. Ensure the project is delivered in line with contractual requirements and agreed deadlines. Manage commissioning, snagging and handover activities as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry. Demonstrable experience delivering industrial, commercial or large-scale fit-out projects. Experience managing projects of significant value, ideally £5 million or above. Strong knowledge of construction programmes, subcontractor management, health and safety and quality assurance. Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage project costs effectively. Ability to start at short notice. Site Manager Civil Engineering Location: Liverpool, Merseyside Day Rate: £280 £300 per day Duration: 10 weeks Start Date: 5th November The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a civil engineering project in Liverpool, involving the removal of a weighbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, drainage and Section 278 (S278) highway works. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Experience working with Tier 1 contractors would be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently. Supervise the removal of an existing weighbridge and associated civil engineering works. Coordinate drainage, groundworks and S278 highway works. Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations and project specifications. Coordinate subcontractors, site personnel and materials. Monitor progress against the programme and report any issues or delays. Ensure all relevant site documentation, RAMS and permits are in place. Manage temporary works in accordance with project requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering. Strong knowledge of drainage, groundworks and S278 works. Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification/experience essential. Relevant site management and health and safety qualifications, such as SMSTS and CSCS. About You We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their career within construction planning and has some relevant industry experience. You will ideally have: Some experience in a construction planning or project planning role, or relevant exposure to planning activities.
