Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from planning and procurement through installation, commissioning, handover, and final account.
  • Deliver works within live healthcare environments while minimising disruption to critical operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement schedules, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, client requirements, and company procedures.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Manage project risks, electrical shutdowns, switchovers, and commissioning activities.
  • Attend client, design, and progress meetings, providing regular project updates.
  • Build strong client relationships and support the commercial team with variations and contractual matters.

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within the building services sector.
  • Strong electrical background with experience delivering HV and LV infrastructure upgrades.
  • Healthcare project experience, ideally within live hospital or NHS environments.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical building services, power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and critical infrastructure.
  • Experience managing projects valued from £1m to £20m+.
  • Strong project planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project costs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Desirable

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Manager Card.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience working for Tier 1 contractors, NHS Trusts, or leading M&E contractors.
  • Knowledge of HTM standards and healthcare compliance requirements.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £70,000 per annum plus benefits.
  • Opportunity to work on major healthcare and infrastructure projects.
  • Long-term career progression within a growing organisation.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
