MEP Design Manager (HVAC) Contract Inside IR35
North Acton
Hybrid Working - Minimum 3 days office / 2 days WFH
550 - 650 per day (Inside IR35)
Initial contract to March 2027 with strong likelihood of extension
We are currently recruiting for an MEP Design Manager (HVAC) to join a major infrastructure programme delivering complex shaft and head-house fit-out works. This is a long-term opportunity for a proactive individual who can take ownership of MEP design responsibilities and drive packages through to successful completion.
This role is ideal for someone with strong HVAC design management/co-ordination experience who enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders, overcoming technical challenges, and ensuring design compliance on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HVAC-focused MEP design packages from concept through to completion.
- Work closely with the MEP Package Manager to drive programme delivery.
- Lead design reviews, approvals, certification processes, and final sign-off.
- Manage HVAC deliverables and resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and design obligations.
- Coordinate and manage HVAC supply chain partners across the project.
- Drive design packages through approval gateways and into delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC/MEP Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or similar role.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and MEP design delivery.
- Experience delivering MEP packages on major infrastructure, rail, construction, or civil engineering projects.
- Ability to manage design approvals, technical submissions, and certification processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and deliver results.
- CSCS White or Black Card preferred.
- Candidates without a current card must be willing and able to obtain one
