Freelance Site Manager - Metal Ceilings

Oxford, 10M Metal Ceiling Design & Build Project

Our client is a specialist subcontractor operating across the commercial and residential fit-out sectors. They have secured a 10M design and build metal ceiling project in Oxford for a recognised Tier One main contractor and are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Manager to help deliver the scheme.

The 10M project is split across two buildings, each valued at approximately 5M, and includes:

• Kvadrat ceilings
• Specialist metal ceilings
• GRG bulkheads
• Complex specialist ceiling installations

You will be site based, working alongside another Site Manager and reporting directly into a Senior Project Manager who is also based on site.

You must have previous experience managing metal ceiling installations on commercial fit-out projects and be confident managing specialist subcontractor works on a complex project.

The following qualifications are required as a minimum:

• NVQ Level 6 / Black Managers CSCS Card
• SMSTS
• First Aid

You will also need to have a strong technical understanding of how specialist ceilings are constructed and installed, together with excellent IT skills. You should be comfortable working with both a laptop and tablet as part of your day-to-day site responsibilities, with previous experience using systems such as procure, snagR, viewpoint and Dalux.

My client is looking for someone who can start at the end of October / beginning of November and remain on the project until completion (approx Oct 28)
