Electrical Supervisor
Location: Melksham, Wiltshire
Contract: 6 months+
Rate: 400 per day

The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Electrical Supervisor to support works on a major National Grid project based in Melksham.
This is a site-based supervisory position responsible for overseeing electrical and M&E activities, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
The successful candidate must have the relevant National Grid competencies and supervisory tickets before being considered for the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical and M&E activities on site, ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate electrical teams, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Monitor progress against programme and report any issues or delays to the project management team.
- Ensure all works comply with National Grid procedures, site rules and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of installation works.
- Ensure RAMS are understood and followed by the workforce.
- Coordinate lifting activities and ensure appropriate lifting procedures are followed.
- Support the planning and coordination of site activities and resources.
- Identify and escalate any technical, safety or programme issues.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and other site teams.
- Maintain accurate site records and assist with relevant documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must hold all of the following:
- National Grid Person / Competent Person (CP)
- NS12
- Lift Supervisor qualification
- Manual Handling
- Previous experience supervising electrical/M&E works within a National Grid or similar utilities environment.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to lead and coordinate site teams effectively.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Full PPE required before attending site.
