Job Description

MUST be a HR Coordinator level for at least a year and will get involved in most areas of HR, including payroll

MUST be good at crunching data and writing reports

MUST have a level 3 CIPD qualification but not essential as long as they want to do the qualification and they can take them all the way up to level 5

MUST have construction Knowledge

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding of site and office staff.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs, arranging interviews, and issuing offer letters.
  • Ensure all employees have the correct right-to-work documentation, qualifications, certifications, and site-specific accreditations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases in accordance with GDPR requirements.
  • Support the onboarding process, including induction programmes and health & safety compliance training.
  • Monitor employee attendance, sickness, holiday entitlement, and leave records.
  • Assist managers with performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance matters, and employee relations issues.
  • Administer employment contracts, contract amendments, and other HR documentation.
  • Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate processing of wages, salaries, overtime, and benefits.
  • Support workforce planning and resource allocation across multiple construction projects.
  • Track and monitor CSCS cards, CPCS cards, SMSTS certifications, and other industry-specific qualifications.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and construction industry regulations.
  • Produce HR reports and management information relating to headcount, turnover, recruitment, and absence levels.
  • Support apprenticeship, graduate, and trainee programmes.
  • Promote employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and company culture.
