Carpentry- Set Builder (Carpenter)

Sanderson is working in partnership with a major Client in the UK. We are currently recruiting for Carpenter/Set Builder to be Milton Keynes or London based out.

Job Title = Carpenter/Set Builder (Freelance position)
Location = Milton Keynes or London
Duration = 6 months Initially
IR35 Status: Inside

Essential Functional/Technical Skills
* Build, assemble, and install studio sets, props, staging elements, and display structures based on design specifications.
* Interpret technical drawings, sketches, blueprints, and creative briefs.
* Measure, cut, shape, and fabricate materials including timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, and other construction materials.
* Ensure all set builds meet quality, safety, and aesthetic standards.
* Modify and adapt existing sets to meet changing production requirements.
* Assist with on-set adjustments during shoots as required.
* Dismantle and store set components efficiently after production.
* Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized condition.
* Collaborate with Art Directors, Set Designers, Producers, Photographers, and Studio Managers.
* Source materials and assist with inventory management when necessary.
* Meet project deadlines while working on multiple productions simultaneously.
* Follow health and safety regulations and studio operating procedures at all times.
