We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to work for a leading social housing provider in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrician who takes pride in their work, provides excellent customer service and wants to build a long-term career.
You will be required to successfully complete 12 weeks as a temporary worker before being considered for a permanent position with the client.
The Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations and testing across a large portfolio of social housing properties.
Key Duties
- Carry out electrical repairs, installations, servicing, inspection and testing to a high standard, with a strong focus on achieving a first-time fix.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including domestic rewiring, kitchen and bathroom works and full property rewires.
- Complete all work safely and in accordance with BS7671, health and safety legislation and relevant company procedures.
- Liaise professionally with residents and colleagues, keeping customers informed about work being completed and providing excellent customer service.
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical works, including emergency call-outs and out-of-hours work as part of a rota.
What We're Looking For
- A fully qualified Electrician with Achievement Measurement 2 and relevant practical experience.
- Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds 2391, 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351, 2330 Levels 2 & 3, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or an approved equivalent.
- Strong practical knowledge of BS7671, including inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical installations. 2394/2395 or equivalent is desirable.
- Excellent customer service, communication and IT skills, with a strong commitment to health and safety. A Basic DBS check will be required and funded by the employer.
