Electrical Working Foreman
4Site are looking for a working foreman to oversee a re-roofing project in a live environment in Cambridge. Reporting into the Project team, you will manage 4-6 engineers, and liaise closely with the on-site management. You will ensure works are delivered in line with programme, and step in hands-on where required.
Working Electrical Foreman
Location: Central London
Office: Moorgate
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: 8 9 hours per day, depending on project
We are currently looking for an experienced Working Electrical Foreman to join a growing team working across a range of commercial projects throughout Central London.
This is a 50/50 hands-on and management role, ideal for an experienced electrician who is ready to take the next step into a Foreman position while remaining actively involved with the electrical works on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and leading teams of up to 8 electricians/tradesmen, depending on project size.
- Remaining hands-on with electrical installation works alongside the team.
- Carrying out testing and inspection duties, including signing off completed works.
- Conducting Safe Starts, site inductions and toolbox talks where required.
- Completing daily site diaries and relevant site paperwork.
- Ordering and managing materials.
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Liaising with Project Managers and Site Managers.
- Reporting directly to the Project Manager on smaller projects.
- Working under the Site Manager on larger projects and taking responsibility for the electrical team.
- Coordinating electrical works across commercial fit-out, office and data centre projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Foreman, Working Foreman or Senior Electrician.
- ECS Gold or Black Card essential.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
- Strong commercial electrical installation experience.
- Experience supervising and leading other electricians.
- Ability to work confidently both on the tools and in a supervisory capacity.
- Good understanding of site health & safety requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Data centre experience would be advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid.
- Authorised Person qualification C&G 3-day course.
- The company is willing to provide Authorised Person training for the right candidate if they do not currently hold the qualification.
