Job Description

Our client is a well-established and growing organisation operating within the electrical and telecommunications sector. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated contracts professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring that work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.



The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and managing the commercial, operational and contractual aspects of each contract. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing contracts from award through to completion.
  • Overseeing multiple projects and ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
  • Reviewing contracts, specifications and project documentation.
  • Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks.
  • Ensuring projects comply with relevant health & safety, quality and industry standards.
  • Attending site and client meetings as required.
  • Preparing progress reports and providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Supporting the resolution of contractual issues, variations and disputes.
  • Ensuring all project documentation and records are maintained accurately.


About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or similar role, within the electrical, telecommunications, construction or utilities sector with experience delivering retail projects.

You will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing projects, clients and subcontractors. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing contracts and projects.
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Experience managing budgets, variations and project costs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Relevant industry qualifications or experience.
