We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and motivated Assistant Facilities Manager to join the facilities management team based at a large mixed use commercial development in Leeds city centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within Facilities Management, working across a commercial property portfolio and supporting the delivery of both reactive maintenance and projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing contractors, overseeing maintenance activities, analysing CAFM data, and ensuring high standards of service delivery across the estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all reactive maintenance activities across the portfolio.
  • Utilise the CAFM system to monitor maintenance requests, contractor performance, and asset information.
  • Review and assess contractor quotations, challenging costs where appropriate and ensuring value for money.
  • Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor the quality of completed works and ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Oversee subcontractors on-site and ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Analyse CAFM and maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build effective working relationships with subcontractors and service providers.
  • Conduct contractor performance reviews and assist in managing service levels.
  • Carry out occasional travel to Manchester to support the management of the wider portfolio.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Property Management, or a similar environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience using a CAFM system.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful insights.
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge quotations and contractor costs.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
