Project Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing civil engineering subcontractor delivering a range of ongoing projects across West London. This Project Manager position offers the chance to lead challenging cut & carve schemes on high-profile main contractor sites, working closely with clients and site teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

About the role of Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple ongoing projects across West London, managing site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The works involve complex cut & carve schemes within live construction environments, requiring strong technical knowledge, programme management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

You will work closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, site managers, and main contractors to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.

Responsibilities for Project Manager

  • Lead the delivery of cut & carve projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Manage programme, budgets, resources, and project reporting across multiple sites.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor health & safety, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving performance and productivity.
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specification.

Requirements for Project Manager

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering or specialist subcontracting.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully delivering cut & carve projects.
  • Experience managing works on main contractor-led construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and construction best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
