Traffic Marshall

Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Traffic Marshal / Banksman to work on a busy commercial construction project in Leyland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join a well-established site team on a temporary basis, with immediate starts available.
Your new role

• Safely directing the movement of vehicles and plant machinery around site.
• Banking deliveries and ensuring safe access and egress for all vehicles.
• Managing delivery schedules and liaising with drivers upon arrival.
• Controlling pedestrian and vehicle segregation to maintain site safety.
• Monitoring site access points and ensuring only authorised personnel enter site.
• Assisting with gate duties and signing visitors and deliveries in and out.
• Maintaining clear and safe traffic routes around the construction site.
• Communicating effectively with site management, operatives and delivery drivers.
• Reporting hazards, near misses and safety concerns promptly.
• Supporting general site operations when vehicle movements are minimal.

What you'll need to succeed

• Valid Traffic Marshal / Banksman qualification.
• CSCS Card.
• Previous experience working on busy construction sites.
• Strong awareness of construction health and safety regulations
