Your new role We are currently seeking an Ecologist to support a major highways infrastructure project, carrying out nesting bird checks and surveys to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and best practice guidance. In this role, you will undertake pre-construction nesting bird surveys, complete habitat and vegetation assessments, identify active nests, and provide ecological advice to site teams. You will liaise closely with contractors and project stakeholders, helping to ensure works are delivered in line with ecological constraints while maintaining project programmes. Accurate data collection, reporting, and communication of mitigation measures will form a key part of your responsibilities. What you'll need to succeed CSCS Card Highways Passport Experience undertaking nesting bird surveys and checks. Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, particularly relating to nesting birds and protected species. Ability to identify common UK bird species and recognise breeding behaviours. Strong communication skills and confidence working alongside contractors and site teams. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. What you'll get in return 150 - 200 P/Day Depending on experience Opportunity to work on a high-profile highway infrastructure project. Flexible contract length with the potential for extension. Valuable experience working alongside experienced environmental and construction professionals. This role sits within the Planned Works Team, focusing on the installation and refurbishment of bathrooms within occupied residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The Role As part of a dedicated bathroom installation team, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality plumbing and bathroom fitting works within social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed to a professional standard with a strong focus on customer service. Typical duties will include: Full bathroom installations and refurbishments Fitting baths, showers, basins, toilets and associated pipework Completing plumbing and bathroom remedial works Working within occupied residential properties Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer care Requirements To be considered for this position you must have: Previous experience working as a Plumber or Bathroom Fitter within a planned maintenance or refurbishment environment Experience working within social housing, local authority or residential property maintenance (preferred) Own van and tools Full UK driving licence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ideally, you will hold: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing, or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing However, relevant industry experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
