About the role of Design Manager

• Looking for a design manager to work on a long term commercial build.
• The project value is 5,000,000.
• Manage the design process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, and specialist subcontractors.
• Review design information and ensure buildability.
• Identify and resolve design and technical issues.
• Monitor design programmes and ensure key deadlines are achieved.
• Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination.

Responsibilities of Design Manager

• Manage and coordinate the design programme.
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and technical information for buildability and compliance.
• Identify and resolve design and technical issues.
• Ensure design information is issued in line with project programmes.
• Support the project team throughout delivery.

Requirements of Design Manager

• Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
• Experience delivering commercial construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and Building Regulations.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet project deadlines.
• Full UK Driving Licence

The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
