Senior Project Manager

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK construction contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK and Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong main contractor background and defence sector experience to take ownership of prestigious projects from pre-construction through to successful completion.

As Senior Project Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the successful planning, commercial performance and delivery of major construction projects.

Working closely with commercial, pre-construction and site teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent client relationships throughout.

• Lead the delivery of high-value construction projects from inception to completion.

• Review contract documentation and manage project obligations.

• Develop procurement strategies alongside the commercial team.

• Lead subcontractor procurement and appointment.

• Manage project budgets, CVRs and commercial performance.

• Identify contractual and commercial opportunities.

• Oversee project programmes, logistics and construction methodologies.

• Ensure effective communication across project teams and stakeholders.

• Maintain excellent client relationships throughout project delivery.

• Drive health & safety, quality and compliance across all site activities.

• Ensure project documentation, O&M manuals and handover information are completed to a high standard.

• Lead, mentor and develop site management teams.

You'll be an experienced construction professional who combines strong leadership with excellent commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

• Degree qualified in a construction-related discipline.

• At least 5 years' experience as a Senior Project Manager working for a main contractor.

• Proven experience delivering Defence sector projects.

• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project profitability.

• Experience leading subcontractor procurement processes.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex construction programmes.

• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.

• Salary of £90,000 - £100,000
