A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager, or a Graduate Project Manager with a couple of years' construction consultancy experience, to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, and heritage projects.

The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside experienced Project Managers and senior consultants, supporting projects from inception through to completion while developing the skills needed to progress into a Project Manager position. This Assistant Project Manager role would suit an ambitious individual looking to gain greater responsibility, work directly with clients, and build a long-term career within a supportive consultancy. The successful Assistant Project Manager will benefit from outstanding APC support, varied project exposure, and genuine opportunities for progression.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Assistant Project Manager's role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of commercial, education, and heritage projects across London, assisting with all stages of the project lifecycle.

The Assistant Project Manager will help coordinate consultants, contractors, and stakeholders while supporting programme management, procurement, contract administration, project reporting, risk management, and project meetings. They will assist with monitoring progress, maintaining project documentation, preparing reports, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This is an ideal opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager looking to broaden their experience across multiple sectors while working closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.



The Assistant Project Manager

The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:

  • Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
  • Around 2 years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Graduate Project Manager
  • Experience working on commercial, education, heritage, or similar construction projects
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or another construction-related discipline
  • Working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
  • A good understanding of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to develop within project management
