Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a prestigious commercial contract in the City of London. This well-established company is recognised for investing in its engineers through ongoing training, development, and genuine career progression opportunities.

Based within a modern commercial office building, the successful Electrically qualified engineer will work as part of a Maintenance team. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shift basis.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of Electrical and building services systems, ensuring the site remains fully operational and compliant.

Duties
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance
  • Working on:
    • Single & Three Phase Power
    • Motors & Generators
    • UPS Systems
    • LV/HV Switching
    • Emergency Lighting
    • Fire Alarm Testing
    • AHUs, FCUs & VAVs
    • CRAC Units
    • Pumps, Belts, Bearings & Seals
    • Sprinkler Systems
    • BMS Operation
  • Carrying out plant and system isolations in line with safety procedures
  • Ensuring corrective and remedial works are completed in accordance with regulations
  • Following and promoting safe systems of work and industry best practices
  • Managing subcontractors when required
  • Completing RAMS, logbooks, and permits to work
  • Producing reports and updating site documentation
  • Liaising with client representatives regarding repair and maintenance works
  • Raising and closing jobs via PDA systems
Requirements
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations
  • Building Services Maintenance experience
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Motivated and career-driven attitude
  • Desire to gain HVAP and LVAP qualifications
  • Professional, reliable, and personable approach
