Land Surveyor

Land Surveyor / Senior Land Surveyor - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Aviation Project - Heathrow.

My client is a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are currently delivering a major civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport and require reinforcements in the form of Land Surveyors / Senior Land Surveyors for day and night works.

My client is currently open to those looking for permanent or contract opportunities.

Candidates must have full UK working rights to be considered for these positions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Survey Control: Establish, maintain, and verify primary and secondary survey control networks across multiple active work fronts.
• Setting Out: Deliver precise setting out for heavy precast elements, modular components, and insitu reinforced concrete works.
• Tolerance Management: Monitor and enforce strict engineering tolerances to ensure exact alignment of structural elements.
• As-Built Surveys: Conduct regular as-built surveys and data verification against design models.
• Data & QA: Process survey data and produce Quality Assurance (QA) documentation, deformation monitoring reports, and structural sign-offs.
• Coordination: Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and BIM teams to resolve spatial discrepancies and maintain sequencing.
• HSE: Comply with and enforce all HS2 health, safety, and environmental protocols.

   REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
   
   Experience & Skills:
   
   

• Major Infrastructure: Proven experience as a Land/Engineering Surveyor on major civils projects (rail, bridges, heavy civils preferred).
• Concrete Works: Direct experience managing strict tolerances for precast elements and insitu reinforced concrete.
• Equipment: Expert operation of Robotic Total Stations (Leica/Trimble), GNSS/GPS, and Digital Levels.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD and survey processing software (e.g., Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, LSS).
• Precision: Track record of maintaining millimeter-level accuracy under tight construction schedules.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Valid CSCS Card (Engineering/Surveying relevant).
• Right to work in the UK.
