Quantity Surveyor
Location: Falmer, East Sussex
Rate: Up to 400 per day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid Working: 3 Days per Week in Office
Sector: Water Infrastructure
We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a major Southern Water programme based in Falmer.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term infrastructure framework delivering critical projects across the water network. We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within the Water, Civil Engineering, Utilities or M&E sectors and are comfortable operating within NEC4 contract environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial management of projects from inception through to final account
- Preparation and assessment of applications, valuations and compensation events
- Contract administration under NEC4 contracts
- Cost forecasting, reporting and budget management
- Management of subcontractor accounts and procurement activities
- Supporting project teams to achieve commercial and contractual objectives
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Water, Civils, Utilities or M&E projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts, particularly Options A, C and E
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification preferred
