Interim Commercial Estate Surveyor - London/Hybrid 500 per day Umbrella

A London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Estate Surveyor to join its Property Services team and take responsibility for the management of a diverse commercial property portfolio

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a commercial property portfolio on behalf of the council
• Handling landlord and tenant matters
• Undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals
• Managing lettings and negotiating new leases
• Service charge management, administration and recovery
• Processing assignments, sublettings, licences and wayleaves
• Managing arrears and maintaining positive tenant relationships
• Conducting property inspections and general estate management duties
• Identifying and delivering income generation opportunities
• Supporting asset management initiatives and portfolio performance improvements
• Providing professional property advice to internal stakeholders

Experience

• Significant experience managing commercial property portfolios
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and practice
• Experience undertaking rent reviews, lease renewals and lease negotiations
• A proven track record in estate management and income generation
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong report writing and communication skills

Desirable

• MRICS qualified
• Previous experience working within a Local Authority or public sector property environment
