Senior Architect, High Speed Infrastructure A number of critical transport buildings. Each one critical. A maintenance depot, a rolling stock facility and a national control Centre, all integrating with a live operational railway. The design has planning permission. Our client is recruiting a Senior Architect to sit embedded within the Integrated Project Team on one of the most complex infrastructure programmes in Europe. The Design and Build contractors are incorporating engineering requirements into the consented design. Your job is to assure that the architectural quality and intent of the original design is maintained through every change they make. You will not be reviewing everything. You will be focusing on the most complex areas, approximately ten per cent of the design output, where the risk to architectural integrity is highest. You will review contractor proposals, respond to technical queries, provide input to planning condition discharge, and act as a guardian of the design vision as it moves from detailed design through into construction. You will work across the interfaces between architecture, civil engineering, rail systems, landscape and environment, because on a project like this, the engineering requirements lead the design and the architect needs to understand why. This is a rare opportunity to move from private practice into a major infrastructure programme and follow a scheme through from detail design all the way to build. You will be part of a community of fifteen or more transport architects working across the project, which means genuine peer support alongside genuine accountability. What you need to bring You will be a registered architect, ARB and RIBA, with a background as a transport architect. Rail experience is essential. You will understand how engineering constraints and operational requirements shape architectural decisions, and you will be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment where architecture is one discipline among many. Your experience should include delivery within a multidisciplinary design and delivery environment, working across civil, systems and environment disciplines rather than in isolation. You will be able to manage your own workload across several workstreams, produce clear technical documents, and communicate with confidence to a range of specialist and non-specialist audiences. Experience of major infrastructure programmes at detail design or construction stage is a strong advantage, as is familiarity with Design and Build contract environments where the contractor holds the design responsibility and the client role is one of assurance and oversight. Senior Project Manager (Heavy Civils), High Speed 2 This is one of the largest and most complex civil engineering programmes in Europe. Ground has been broken, structures are rising, and parts of the heavy Civils project is moving into its later stages. The work now is about driving it home. Our client is recruiting two Senior Project Managers to sit alongside Project Directors as the programme moves through final delivery, close-out and handover. Your job is to keep major civil engineering contracts on track across the final stretch, manage the interfaces, hold the supply chain to account, and make sure the scheme lands cleanly, ready for the Rail Systems to start ramping up in the region. What the role involves You will carry out the duties of NEC3 Project Manager on behalf of the client, administering contracts through Tier 1 and joint venture supply chain partners. Day to day, you will review and accept construction programmes, monitor contractor performance, manage risk within your scope and support mitigation of wider programme-level risks. You will manage CDM duties as delegated by the Client Representative, coordinate retained third-party works and services, and act as the interface with client functions sitting outside the Integrated Project Team. You will be working across multiple stakeholders, including local stakeholders whose cooperation matters to delivery, and your ability to manage those relationships will be tested regularly. The later-stage focus of these roles is significant. Experience of closing out large-scale civil programmes, managing the sequencing of works through to completion, and handing over complex schemes is central to what our client needs. You will understand construction methodology and programme at a detailed level, and be able to see around corners when sequencing decisions have downstream consequences. This is a senior role with real accountability. What we are looking for NEC3 Project Manager duties, carried out from the client side, are essential. If you have not held that role in a meaningful way on a major civil engineering scheme, this is not the right fit. Your background should be in heavy civils. Highways, rail or nuclear are all relevant sectors. You will understand construction sequences and methodology, and you will have managed supply chain partners through complex delivery environments. Local stakeholder management is part of the role, and experience of navigating that well matters. Experience of programme close-out and scheme handover is a genuine requirement here. Our client is not looking for is a commercial specialist. The priority is delivery leadership, sequencing expertise and the experience to bring a major scheme to a proper close.

Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure High Speed Assurance Close to half a million documents will have been produced on one section of this major infrastructure programme. Someone needs to make sure the right ones are available at the right time, to the right people, in a form that actually serves the future railway. Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to project manage the assurance documentation process for a major section of the High Speed build. The work is about getting control of a very large body of project documentation, understanding what exists, and ensuring that assurance records are accessible and fit for purpose for the next stage of construction and for the parties who will ultimately operate and maintain the railway. This is a programme-level responsibility with real consequences for how the project hands over to the future. This isn't a technical assurance role, nor an engineering role, but the ability to talk to engineers, regarding assurance is essential. You will identify where current processes are falling short, lead improvements, and coordinate across internal teams and supply-chain partners to close the gaps. You will manage interfaces with third parties who have a legitimate interest in the assurance record, including future railway operators and the next phase of the delivery programme. You will oversee the NEC3 contract management obligations that sit within your scope, manage risk proactively. This is a senior role with autonomous decision-making authority and accountability for outcomes, not just activity. What you need to bring Experience across the full project lifecycle is essential, including planning, procurement and delivery on complex programmes. You will need a strong track record in project and contract management, ideally on large civil or infrastructure schemes, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines and functions to move things forward. Understanding of risk identification, schedule management and contract performance monitoring is core to the role. APM-aligned project management knowledge at advanced level is expected, and a degree in project management, engineering, commercial management or equivalent experience forms the baseline qualification. Experience of documentation, information management or assurance processes on a major infrastructure programme would be a genuine advantage. Millions of passengers will one day travel through the London stations at the heart of this project. The quality of what gets built now determines whether that experience is safe, reliable and right. This is "THE" Client based role, overssing the main works contractors and designers, the client is looking for a Quality Manager to work across the London stations programme for the new High Speed railway. Day to day, you will audit supply-chain performance, review quality management plans and audit schedules, and track non-conformances and defects back to their root causes. You will identify trends, recommend preventative actions, and report clearly on quality performance so that decisions at every level are based on solid information. You will lead implementation of the Get It Right Initiative across delivery teams and supply-chain partners, measuring the cost of poor quality and driving improvement. Where acceptance rates fall short, you will investigate why and support the teams responsible for getting them back on track. This is a high level role, looking at trends, not individual items. You will be advising project teams, sharing lessons learned, raising the standard of quality documents coming through from suppliers, and training the people around you to think about quality in a more disciplined way. What you need A degree, HND or HNC in an engineering or construction related subject forms the foundation. On top of that, you will need a completed IRCA-accredited ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification and a solid understanding of audit and assurance processes, including the three lines of defence model. Your experience should include developing and reporting quality performance metrics, delivering operational audits, analysing risk data, and producing non-conformance and defect trend analysis that leads to real corrective action. You will be comfortable working across multiple contracts at once, managing your own priorities and meeting reporting deadlines without being chased. You can communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, influence without authority, and translate management system standards into practical application on a live infrastructure programme. It is worth noting that experience in major rail infrastructure is a strong advantage, though candidates from highways, utilities or other complex civils programmes will also be relevant to our client.
