Salary: Up to £15.40 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a well-established national maintenance and refurbishment contractor. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality painting and decorating services across a range of sites in the Wyton area.

You will be responsible for ensuring all works are completed to a professional standard, including preparation, application, and finishing of surfaces in both internal and external environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces to a high standard prior to decoration
  • Carry out painting and decorating works on internal and external surfaces
  • Perform surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming
  • Apply a range of paints, coatings, stains, and varnishes
  • (Desirable) Hang wallpaper and other wallcoverings
  • Work across multiple projects to meet deadlines and programme requirements
  • Monitor stock levels of materials and request replenishments when required
  • Ensure all works are delivered within agreed budgets
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping on site

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Painter & Decorator role
  • Strong knowledge of decorating techniques, materials, and finishes
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A customer-focused approach, particularly in occupied environments
