We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a tier 1 main contractor based in Basingstoke. The business is one of the most renowned main contractors in the UK, with a national presence operating out of several regional offices. The business undertakes projects across various sectors including education and further education, commercial, healthcare, defence and MOJ.

The business unit in Basingstoke is becoming increasingly busy, and is now looking to expand their defence team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects valuing up to 10mil. You will be working within the defence team and will be reporting into the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

• Involvement in 2-stage tenders
• Manage sub-contract procurement
• Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
• Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements as Quantity Surveyor:

• Have a HNC / construction related degree
• Have administered JCT / NEC forms of contract
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
• Must live within commutable distance to Basingstoke
