You'll be joining a company that has built a really strong team and culture, with ambitious plans for continued growth. They have developed a reputation for delivering quality projects and building long-standing relationships with their clients and supply chain. The business is continuing to grow, with an exciting pipeline of work and further expansion planned. The culture is a big part of what makes the company attractive. The team is genuinely close-knit and social, with people who have been with the business for a number of years. They actually make a point of enjoying themselves too; monthly office socials with beers, wine, pizza and plenty of opportunities for the team to get together. It's a business where people know each other, senior management is accessible and your contribution is noticed. The Role As Bid Manager, you'll take ownership of the tender process from initial opportunity through to submission, working closely with the senior management, commercial, pre-construction and operational teams. You'll be responsible for: Managing the end-to-end bid process from PQQ through to final submission Reviewing incoming tender opportunities and assessing suitability Coordinating bid/no-bid processes Managing tender programmes and ensuring key deadlines are met Reviewing tender documents, specifications and employer's requirements Coordinating information and contributions from internal teams and external consultants Working closely with Estimating and Commercial teams Preparing and managing tender submissions Producing high-quality written responses and technical submissions Coordinating method statements, programmes, logistics proposals and supporting information Managing the bid library and ensuring information is accurate and up to date Maintaining a strong understanding of the company's capabilities, previous projects and differentiators Identifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of the bidding process Attending tender interviews and presentations where required Supporting the business development team with client-facing material Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners Helping to develop and continually improve the company's bid strategy and processes What We're Looking For We're ideally looking for someone with a few years of experience within a Bid Manager / Bid Coordinator / Senior Bid Coordinator position within construction. Why Join? This is a genuine opportunity to join a business that is growing and have a say in how the bid function develops. You'll have the freedom to bring ideas, improve processes and build on what's already there rather than simply inheriting a rigid corporate system. The business has a fantastic team culture, with a very social environment and people who genuinely enjoy working together. There's also plenty of opportunity for progression as the company continues to grow, meaning the person joining now has the chance to grow with the business rather than joining an already-established structure with limited room to move. If you're a Bid Coordinator or Bid Manager with a few years' construction experience and you're looking for a business where you can take ownership, develop and grow alongside an ambitious team, we'd be keen to hear from you!
