Building Surveyor Job- To include Stock Condition Surveys and EPC Assessments Your new company Hays Property and Surveying are pleased to be working with a key local authority who are going through work to ensure that stock conditions and EPCs are up-to-date and recorded correctly across their assets. Your new role You will be working to provide stock condition surveys across Bournemouth and Poole in addition to EPC assessments. This is a fast-paced role with high volumes of stock to be assessed. What you'll need to succeed Minimum two years experience working for Local Authorities or Housing Associations. EPC Assessment qualified with experience lodging EPC's with Elmhurst. Experience in general building surveying for domestic housing stock. Able to deal with high volumes of work. Driver with full licence and access to a vehicle for business use. Rates are available from £31- £40 per hour umbrella subject to interest and experience. What you'll get in return This is for an initial three month contract with a good chance of extension. As our Lead Stock Condition Surveyor, you'll help us understand the condition of our tenant's homes as we deliver this for people across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. You'll lead and coordinate our stock condition survey programme, using your experience to make sure the process runs smoothly and that we collect high-quality data. Managing our team of surveyors, you ll oversee the quality assurance (QA) processes and provide analysis to inform investment planning and compliance. You ll also support activities as part of the wider asset management team. What you ll bring to our team A confident leader, with strong technical surveying expertise and experience delivering stock condition surveys, you ll be able to guide your team and help them grow. You ll have the right knowledge and qualifications to providing sound building pathology advice, and preparing schedules of work, specifications, and reports. You ll have a clear understanding of health and safety, CDM regulations, and contractor compliance, alongside experience undertaking EPCs, HHSRS inspections, and disrepair investigations. Customer-focused and collaborative, you ll work effectively with stakeholders while supporting operational planning, risk management, and budget awareness. You ll act as a positive brand ambassador and remain flexible in responding to changing operational needs. What we re looking for Significant experience in building defect identification and stock condition surveying - Essential. Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and building pathology -Essential. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential. Ability to work independently and manage workload - Essential. Experience with PAS 2035 Desirable Understanding of party wall matters Desirable.
