Location: Westminster | Hybrid Working

This is a *Westminster* Hybrid based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *high-value construction, FM, asset maintenance, and capital investment procurements*

A high-profile organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial (Works) to lead complex procurement and commercial activity across a major estate and infrastructure portfolio.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute professional with deep expertise in NEC contracts, public sector procurement regulations, and large-scale Works environments.

You will lead a fast-paced commercial team responsible for high-value construction, FM, asset maintenance, and capital investment procurements, while acting as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across a politically sensitive and complex environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive expertise across the NEC suite of contracts
  • Strong knowledge of PCR 2015 and Procurement Act 2023
  • Proven leadership of high-performing commercial/procurement teams
  • Experience managing complex Works, construction, FM, and infrastructure procurements
  • Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders in demanding environments
  • Strong team leadership, mentoring, and operational delivery capability
  • Experience drafting and advising on bespoke NEC contract options

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading commercial strategy and procurement delivery across major Works programmes
  • Providing expert NEC contract guidance and commercial leadership
  • Driving compliant, innovative, and value-focused procurement activity
  • Supporting contract negotiations, supplier management, and risk mitigation
  • Managing and developing a dynamic commercial team
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery partners
