Senior Building Services & Harm FM infrastructure Contract Length: 24 Months Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire (4 days/week on site) IR35: In Scope SC Clearance is desirable Public Sector experience highly desirable Excellent Rates *Urgent 24 Month contract - Role hiring now!* This is *Salisbury, Wiltshire* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Public Sector organisation working on *providing expert guidance on building services systems, including mechanical, HVAC, and BMS infrastructure.* About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Building Services & Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and assuring the performance of our Estates and Hard FM infrastructure. In this role, you'll provide expert technical leadership across critical programmes, ensuring our estate is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose both now and in the future. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll act as a trusted technical authority - driving engineering assurance, supporting complex projects, and embedding best practice across a diverse and high-profile estate. What You'll Be Doing Lead technical assurance and engineering oversight across major estates programmes, including NBSC, FASP459, HSE interventions, and key building investment projects. Provide expert guidance on building services systems, including mechanical, HVAC, and BMS infrastructure. Drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations across all estates activities. Apply engineering risk management principles, including hazard-based methodologies and safety-critical system oversight. Oversee asset management practices for both fixed and non-fixed assets, ensuring full life cycle compliance. Support fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and the implementation of long-term engineering solutions. Build and manage effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders within a complex service environment. Act as a key advisor to senior estates leadership, influencing strategic decisions and technical direction. What We're Looking For Essential Skills & Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation (or equivalent qualification). Strong technical expertise in building services engineering (mechanical, HVAC, BMS). In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, environmental standards, and statutory compliance within FM. Proven experience in engineering risk management and safety-critical systems. Strong understanding of fault-finding, root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable engineering fixes. Experience managing supplier and contract relationships in complex environments. Working knowledge of asset management and associated legislation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
