Senior Construction Project Manager
Location: Belfast Ireland/UK & European Projects

Salary 90-120k per annum (plus car allowance, healthcare and pension)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading technical construction contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Ireland and Europe.
This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional with a strong background in mission-critical or technically complex environments, including data centres, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and large-scale commercial projects.
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading project teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects from inception through to handover and completion
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and welfare on site
- Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and delivery strategies
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Monitor project progress, budgets, procurement, risks, and quality performance
- Manage inspection and testing regimes and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation and early-warning strategies
- Support commercial and procurement activities, including subcontractor negotiations
- Lead project reporting, programme reviews, and coordination meetings
- Manage defects, non-conformances, and project close-out activities effectively
- Mentor and support Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers within the team
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years' experience managing large-scale construction projects across Ireland, the UK, or Europe
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and in-situ concrete works
- Knowledge and understanding of MEP systems from design through to delivery
- Proven experience managing complex procurement processes and project programmes
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations and industry best practice
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering data centre, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical projects
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software
- Experience working within highly regulated technical environments
