An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor or "Quantity Surveyor" to join a growing independent construction consultancy in South Wales and take on the role of Project Manager / Employers Agent.

The Opportunity

The successful Senior Building Surveyor or "Quantity Surveyor" will play a key role in delivering projects from pre-construction through to completion, acting as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and consultants.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as Project Manager Employers Agent across a range of projects
  • Preparing and administering contract documentation
  • Coordinating and managing project delivery through pre and post-contract stages
  • Chairing progress meetings and issuing project reports
  • Monitoring contractor performance against programme, quality, and compliance
  • Managing project costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Supporting successful project completion, handover, and defects management
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project delivery
The Ideal Candidate

The successful Senior Building Surveyor or "Quantity Surveyor" will have:
  • MRICS qualified or working towards Chartership
  • Previous experience within an Employers Agent or Quantity Surveying role
  • Residential or commercial project experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently whilst working collaboratively within a team
  • Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail
