Fire Door Installer / Supervisor

We're currently working with a well-established passive fire protection contractor who are looking to add an experienced Fire Door Installer to their team on a permanent basis.

They deliver fire door installation and remedial works across a range of commercial, government, education, and healthcare projects, and are continuing to grow due to a strong pipeline of secured work.

Due to the nature of the work the ability to work away is essential.

The Role

This is a mixed hands-on and supervisory position where you will be responsible for:

• Installing and fitting fire doors, frames, seals, and ironmongery
• Carrying out fire door remedial and upgrade works
• Inspecting fire doors to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications
• Supporting and supervising small teams on site when required
• Working from drawings, door schedules, and technical details
• Completing QA checks and site documentation accurately
• Ensuring all works meet fire safety and manufacturer standards
• Liaising with site teams, contractors, and other trades

What They re Looking For

• Proven experience in fire door installation (essential)
• Strong understanding of fire door compliance and standards
• Ability to read drawings and technical information
• Supervisory experience or confidence leading installers (desirable)
• High attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Good communication skills on site
• NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery or Passive Fire Protection (preferred)
• CSCS card (essential)
