Building Engineer / Assistant Project Manager Our client is seeking a proactive and ambitious Building Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects, managing site activities, and helping to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Coordinate construction projects from inception through to completion. Manage site installations on projects located throughout the UK. Monitor and coordinate site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers during the design, construction, and handover phases. Support capital projects, including principal design, specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Prepare component specifications and assist with purchasing activities. Support project planning, scheduling, and programme management. Select, coordinate, and manage contractors and subcontractors. Monitor project costs and maintain cost schedules against agreed budgets. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, current legislation, and Health & Safety requirements. Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and progress reports. Provide practical, hands-on operational support on site throughout project delivery. Candidate Profile Our client is looking for an organised, motivated, and driven individual who is eager to build a successful career in construction project management. The ideal candidate will have: Experience within the construction or building services industry. A degree in civil engineering Excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and practical approach. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Competency in Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in project coordination, site engineering, construction management, or a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
