Electrician Location: Bracknell
Pay Rate: 26.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical repairs and installations within domestic properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a first-time fix standard while remaining fully compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, aiming for first-time fixes
- Diagnose faults and undertake rewiring of domestic electrical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship
- Liaise effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates on progress and actions
- Escalate more complex issues to senior staff where required
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and BS7671 standards, including proper use of PPE
- Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and source required materials
- Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance
- Support planned works including full rewires, kitchen and bathroom electrical installations in occupied and void properties
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required
- Maintain company vehicle, carrying out routine safety checks and reporting defects
Requirements- Qualified Electrician with experience in social housing
- Relevant qualifications such as:
- City & Guilds 2391
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351 or 2330 (Level 2 & 3), or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Previous apprenticeship or equivalent practical training
- Strong working knowledge of the current BS7671 regulations
- Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations
- City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel efficiently between sites
- Good IT skills and strong customer service ability
