Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting delivery on a major infrastructure programme. This role will focus on the substations package, playing a key part in managing commercial performance across complex, high-value works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with strong NEC expertise and a background in infrastructure or energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial management of the substations package within a major programme
• Administration of NEC contracts (Option C)
• Detailed management of Defined Cost and Compensation Events
• Cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management
• Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial efficiency and compliance
• Stakeholder engagement across client, contractor, and supply chain

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or energy projects
• Ideally demonstrable experience working on substations or similar power/utility projects
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Option C
• High level of competence in Defined Cost and Compensation Event processes
• Commercially driven with strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to operate effectively within a collaborative project environment
