Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. They have an excellent reputation on the South Coast delivering projects across the commercial, education, student accommodation and retirement living sectors valuing up to 30mil. They work predominantly across Hampshire, Berkshire and Dorset.

As a result of continued success, they're now expanding their commercial team and looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and report into the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenders
  • Procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
  • Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
  • Liaise with the clients teams
  • Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
  • Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
  • Must live in a commutable location to Southampton and be happy to visit office and site as required
