Yard Operative

We have a Yard Operative position available within Holcim Bardon Hill Quarry. This role is ideal for someone who considers themself to be reliable, proactive and has good communication skills

Role: Yard Operative

Shifts: 4 on 4 off shift - 5am - 5pm (must be able to work weekends)

Pay: 13.45 per hour

Duration: Temp ongoing

Location: Holcim, Bardon Hill Quarry, Bardon Road, Leics, LE67 1TL

Main tasks include

• Driver and Contractor inductions

• Drug and alcohol testing

• Gatehouse duties

• Welcoming drivers, contractors and directing traffic around site

• General tidying of the site

Requirements

• Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety

• Flexible and adaptable attitude with ability to prioritise a range of different tasks.

• Exceptional communication skills, at all levels, both written and verbal.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Strong work ethic and desire to learn

• Ability to conduct manual handling
