Job Description

Approved Electrician - Glasgow/Edinburgh Based

27 p/h standard rate + O/T ( 33 Sat, 38 Sun)

Van, fuel card, PPE & test equipment provided

Initial 3-month contract 37 hours/week Immediate Start

Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime depending on workload and weekend requirements.

Approved Electrician required to support compliance and remedial works across various industrial and commercial sites.

Based around Glasgow / Edinburgh, this role involves travelling to field locations across Scotland, carrying out inspection, testing and remedial works to help meet demand.

  • Mainly site-based, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work during shutdown periods.
  • Travel across Scotland including to some more remote locations.

The role will Include:

  • Hotels booked if staying away, with breakfast and 25 evening meal allowance.
  • Van and fuel card provided.
  • All PPE and specialist tools supplied.
  • Direct-to-site roles.
  • Pay: 37 hours standard, plus overtime as required.

The Work Includes:

  • Electrical inspection and testing to BS7671 standards
  • Emergency lighting and equipment testing
  • Remedial works based on inspection findings
  • Working to client scopes and safety procedures
  • Daily van-based travel directly to client sites

You'll Need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (Good to have but not a must)
  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • AM2 (or equivalent full apprenticeship route)
  • ECS Card
  • Strong experience in fixed wiring inspection and testing within commercial/industrial environments
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • First Aid emergency aid certificate
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate
  • A clear Basic DBS check within the last 3 Months
