360 Excavator Operator

We are recruiting experienced 360 Excavator Operators to support upcoming drainage works on two major infrastructure schemes.

Works are due to commence from w/c 8 June 2026, with additional gangs mobilising through late July 2026.

You will be working as part of an experienced drainage gang delivering carrier and filter drainage on large-scale highways projects. The role requires strong machine control, a good understanding of drainage works, and close coordination with pipelayers and supervisors.

• 1 x Grey Hat Supervisor (FLS / Foreman)
• 1 x Experienced Pipelayer (Confined Spaces trained)
• 2 x Excavator Operators (20-30T tracked machines - your role)
• 1 x General Operative

• Excavation and backfill for drainage installations
• Majority of works less than 2.0m depth
• Some carrier drainage works up to 3.0m depth
• Working in live highways / infrastructure environments
• Close working alongside pipelayers to achieve levels and tolerances

• Proven experience operating 20-30T tracked excavators
• Strong background in drainage or civils works
• Competent digging to tight tolerances around services
• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (with CSCS logo)
• Good awareness of health & safety in deep excavations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a drainage gang
