Seasonal Construction Painter

Job Description

Bridgeman Recruitment Services are currently recruiting experienced Painter & Decorators to work on refurbishment and fit-out projects across student accommodation and NHS environments. Projects will include both occupied and live site settings, requiring a clean, professional, and high-quality finish at all times.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of internal painting and decorating works to a high standard, working efficiently while maintaining site safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal painting and decorating across refurbishment projects
  • Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming
  • Emulsion, gloss, and finishing works
  • Wall and ceiling painting in occupied and live environments
  • Wallpaper hanging and feature wall finishes where required
  • Touch-up and snagging works to high standards
  • Ensuring clean, tidy, and safe working areas at all times
  • Working to drawings, specifications, and site requirements
  • Liaising with site teams to meet programme deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator on construction/refurbishment projects
  • Valid CSCS card (essential)
  • Ability to deliver high-quality finishes with attention to detail
  • Experience working in occupied/live environments
  • Good timekeeping and reliability
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience on NHS, education, or student accommodation projects
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating
  • Own tools and transport
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo checks if required)
