Site Agent

The Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a leading UK civil engineering contractor delivering a flagship infrastructure scheme in the South.

This is a rare opportunity to join a large scale, technically complex project one of the most significant schemes of its kind currently underway in the UK.

Due to continued growth and workload on site, we are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to take ownership of key packages on the project.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a defined section of works, ensuring programme, safety, quality, and commercial targets are met.

This is a site based role on a major, long term infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day to day site operations including labour, plant, and subcontractors
Take ownership of specific work packages such as earthworks, drainage, and structures
Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, drawings, and specifications
Drive and enforce health and safety standards across all site activities
Develop and manage short term programmes and lookaheads
Monitor progress and implement solutions to maintain programme
Work closely with commercial teams on cost control and variations under NEC contracts
Lead and coordinate site teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen
Act as a key interface between site teams and senior management

About You

Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong background in earthworks, highways, or water related schemes
Experience working under NEC contracts
Ability to manage programmes, subcontractors, and site teams effectively
SMSTS and CSCS as a minimum
HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
