Health & Safety Manager - Leading Fit Out Contractor
A market leading commercial fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support its continued growth across high-profile projects. With a turnover exceeding 300m and a proven track record of internal progression (over 22 promotions last year), this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking business.
The Role
This position offers a balanced mix of site-based presence ("boots on the ground") and strategic oversight, including ISO compliance and auditing. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a strong safety culture across multiple CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible, hands-on health & safety leadership across live sites
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead on ISO standards compliance and internal/external auditing
- Support project teams with practical H&S guidance and best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in safety systems and procedures
- Deliver training and toolbox talks where required
About You
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within fit-out, construction, or civils environments
- Strong working knowledge of CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects (desirable)
- Comfortable splitting time between site and office-based responsibilities
- Relevant qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
