Our client is a leading player in the UK construction materials sector, and they are looking to appoint a Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialist surveying function supporting innovative tapered insulation solutions across the UK.

The Role:

This is a field-based position where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services, supporting both customers and internal teams with technical expertise and accurate site data.

You'll be responsible for carrying out detailed roof surveys, providing technical guidance, and ensuring designs are delivered accurately and efficiently. While the role is primarily based around the Leeds/Bradford area, there will be travel across the Midlands and, in the short term, more frequent visits to the South.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Surveys & Technical Delivery

• Conduct detailed site surveys including measuring roofs, assessing drainage, and identifying existing falls
• Produce accurate survey data to support tapered insulation design solutions
• Ensure all surveys are completed in line with H&S and industry standards

Technical Support & Customer Engagement

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, contractors, and internal teams
• Act as a key point of contact on-site, building strong relationships with clients and partners
• Support the successful delivery of projects through expert advice and guidance

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Deliver technical training sessions to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
• Support understanding of product applications and installation best practice

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Assist in resolving technical queries and on-site issues, including complaint investigations
• Work collaboratively to improve surveying accuracy, processes, and customer outcomes

Reporting & Collaboration

• Maintain accurate records of surveys and KPI data
• Work closely with sales, design, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery

What We're Looking For

• Experience within the flat roofing sector (e.g. built-up felt, single ply, or liquid systems)
• Strong practical surveying skills and ability to work at height safely
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• A customer-focused, personable approach with strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
• CSCS card (essential); NVQ Level 2 (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
